Retreat Manager and Retreat Portal permit the creation of Tasks. These tasks are simple and meant to identify certain actions required on rooms. For example, 'Room 5 : Leaky faucet'. These tasks are typically created staff, such as housekeeping, and meant to get the attention of maintenance. The challenge is notifying the persons who would be able to take action on the issue in the task. To solve this you can create subscribers who get notified when new tasks are created.

Log in to Retreat Portal Console

Click the gear icon in the top-right and select Housekeeping

In the Housekeeping section click Task Notifications on the left.

In the Task Subscriber table click the Add Subscriber button. You will be asked to provide a name and email for the subscriber. Below are a set of email addresses which can be used to create SMS/Text messages for individuals who have a mobile phone.

Be sure to click the Test button to see if a sample message is sent successfully.

Click Create when done. Any newly created task will trigger an email to all listed subscribers.
